A Scarborough charity shop trustee has made a plea for whoever smashed their shop window to step up and offer to make amends.
Rosemary Forrest, of Scarborough and Locals Together (SALT), said that since their Falsgrave Road shop window was smashed on December 20 they have not been able to have a window display and are becoming increasingly worried about repair costs. She said: “It was smashed during a fight and I want those responsible to think about the damage caused and whether they would consider making up for it.
“It will cost a lot to put right, as the glass is smashed and the wooden frame is all buckled. I would ask if whoever did this would consider paying our insurance excess, so we can continue our work in the community.” To help please call (01723) 447229.
