Charity to be boosted by fayre

EDGEHILL Community Association is holding an Easter craft fayre to raise cash for Help for Heroes.

The event, at the Falsgrave Community Resource Centre in Seamer Road on from noon on Sunday April 17, will be opened jointly by the deputy mayor Cllr John Blackburn, and the 2010 Edgehill May Queen winner, Aimee Ash.

It will consist of craft stalls selling jewellery, cards, gifts and much more and light refreshments will be able to buy on the day. There will also be a tombola, raffle, and a name the bear contest among the games on offer throughout the fayre.

Falsgrave Community Resource Centre operations officer Phil Armitage said: “The event promises to be a fun day for all the family.”

The entrance fee is only 20p, with free entry for accompanied children.
