Children's hospice relies on your help and support

It is an asset to the town.

There is also another special hospice that services Scarborough and North Yorkshire called Martin House Children’s Hospice.

Situated in Boston Spa it is the only children’s hospice in the whole of North Yorkshire, which makes it our local children’s hospice.

Children from Scarborough and surrounding areas use its services which are respite care, end of life care and bereavement care for the whole family.

It is specially for babies, young children and young adults who have complex, life limiting conditions.

Each child is encouraged to reach their full potential in a happy, stimulating environment, to live their life in the very best way they can and give families the time to make precious memories together.

It costs £16,500 a day (about £6.7 million a year) to run its services.

Scarborough Friends of Martin House work hard to raise funds to continue this work.
