SCARBOROUGH’S 125th Cricket Festival should run smoothly after the club was donated a new tractor.
The tractor was given to the club by VINCI Construction, who played an integral role in the winter refurbishment of North Marine Road.
Tony Gibson, vice-chairman of Scarborough Cricket Club, said: “In light of the recent development it is a wonderful gesture from VINCI Construction to provide us with the tractor.
“Our groundsman John Dodd has been using a tractor that’s been getting slower in recent years so he’s delighted.
“It will now make it a lot more easier for us to go ahead with the planned re-laying of the turf in the autumn.
