Coastguard helicopter called to help injured person on coast near Flamborough

The coastguard rescue helicopter was called out to help someone injured at Thornwick Bay in Flamborough yesterday (Thurs May 21).

Humber Coastguard team were sent out to the beach at 11.53am after reports that someone was hurt.

The team assessed the casualty before clearing the area so that the helicopter could land and fly the injured person to hospital.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service were also called to help.
