AN innovative new play which was performed in three locations during Coastival can be seen at the library next week.
The peripatetic production was presented by Beach Hut Theatre in three parts over two days.
Act 1 of Alison Watt’s latest play, a comedy called Love, When It’s Brass, was performed at the Stephen Joseph Theatre at 1pm on Saturday.
Act 2 was performed in the Palm Court Hotel’s covered carpark at 3.30pm the same day, followed by Act 3 in the town-hall gardens at 1pm Sunday.
“We had a great weekend with lots of people coming to all three acts, despite the fairly nasty weather conditions,” says Ali’s husband John Pattison.
Love, When It’s Brass is a light-hearted, laugh-out-loud look at love, money and the trials of running a wedding reception.
It will be presented in the more conventional theatrical setting of the library next Wednesday to Saturday, at 7.30pm.
