Concert venue issues plea for performers

THIS could be your chance to take centre stage.

The management at Sewerby Hall and Gardens are on the look out for new performers for next year’s series of Orangery concerts which run on most Thursdays and Sundays throughout the year.

Marie Gascoigne, facility manager of Sewerby Hall and Gardens, said: “We currently have a very popular selection of artists on our database but due to retirement and changes of circumstances, this number of performers usually decreases over the year.

“We would like to invite artists of any genre and style to come forward and hopefully enhance our 2012 schedule.

“We are also looking for outside entertainers willing to perform in areas such as the bandstand and the courtyard.

“All our Orangery performers are good enough to give up their time without recompense and rely solely on the generosity of visitor donations.”
