Crews from Sherburn were called out at 11.08am to a small fire in the engine compartment of a van near East Knapton.
The blaze has been put out using a hose reel jet.
Earlier this morning, crews were called out to a tractor which had caught fire on the A64 at West Heslerton.
The road was closed for some time to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
