Cricket legend to open Age Concern event

A MAJOR event hosted by Age Concern will take place at Scarborough’s Spa Complex from 10am to 4pm on Monday October 3.

Admission is free to the event, entitled Xtra Life 50+, and everyone is welcome to attend, no matter what your age.

It is being officially opened at 11am by cricket legend Dickie Bird MBE, who will hold a question and answer session in the Sun Court suite at 2pm.

The event is aimed at giving advice and information on health and wellbeing, finance, legal matters, exercise and fitness, eating and diet.

There will also be a question and answer session with Dickie Bird at 2pm in the Sun Court suite.

Invited guests include Scarborough town crier Alan Booth, Scarborough mayor John Blackburn, Lady Heather Ayckbourn, and Dianne Jeffrey, chairman of Age UK.
