Appeal after man is glassed in Scarborough pub

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Scarborough.

At around 2am on Sunday an altercation took place inside the Waterhouse Pubion St Thomas Street.

During this incident a man was assaulted by having a glass broken over his head.

The involved group were subsequently ejected from the pub, however the incident continued onto Waterhouse Lane, where a man was detained by police.

Police are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
