Attempted theft from Scarborough's B&Q: Do you know this man ?

Police investigating an attempted theft from B&Q in Scarborough want to speak to this man.

They have released the CCTV image after a man tried to leave the store without paying for several items in his trolley, including drills and hacksaws.

When he was confronted by a member of staff, he ran off towards the Edgehill housing estate.

The incident happened at the Seamer Road store at around 3pm on Monday, July 6. Police have just released information.

Police want to speak to this man after an attempted theft.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV photo may have important information that can assist with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him or has any information about the incident should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two, and ask for PC Bryony Harper.
