Banned driver with 42 points on his licence stopped near Malton

A driver stopped near Malton was found at the wheel while disqualified and with 42 points on his licence.

Police pulled the man over on Tuesday night after a call from a member of the public about a vehicle being driven erratically.

According to officers, the driver refused to accept that he was driving illegally.

His vehicle was seized and an investigation into linked fraud offences is ongoing.
