Dog walkers could hold key to possible stabbing incident

Police investigating how a woman sustained cuts in a Scarborough street are appealing for two dog walkers to come forward.

Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8pm last night after the 25-year-old woman was found with cuts to her arm and chest.

Detectives are appealing to two dog walkers with a black dog who crossed North Marine Road towards Clarence Road at around 7.50pm, to contact them as they believe they may have witnessed the incident.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "It is believed that although the woman was found on North Marine Road, the original incident took place in Clarence Road and officers are appealing for anyone else who was in the area the time to contact them.
