Police are hunting a driver who smashed into a parked car in Scarborough and drove off.

Police hunting driver who smashed into parked car in Scarborough and drove off.

A Vauxhall Astra, parked on Westbourne Grove, was hit at about 3.40am on Friday but the culprit did not stop to leave any details.

The Astra suffered extensive back end damage and was hit so hard, it was moved into the centre of the road.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the car which hit the Astra or who was driving to get in touch.

Anyone who was in the area or saw a vehicle driving around Scarborough with front end damage at about 4am on Friday is also being urged to contact police.
