A WOMAN has been banned from driving for two years after being nearly three times the limit.
Samantha Jane Burrows, 24, of Staithes, admitted the charge during a hearing at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court.
The incident took place at Hinderwell on December 13 at around 3.15am.
The defendant was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa and was stopped by police due to her manner of driving.
Burrows was given a breath test which showed 97mg in 100ml of breath - nearly three times the legal limit.
Nick Tubbs, mitigating, said his client had never been in trouble before and very much regretted her actions.
The defendant was banned for 24 months and given a 12 month community order.
She was also ordered to pay £85 costs.
