A FERRARI has appeared in court after speeding near Scarborough.
Melissa Ferrari, 28, of Nesfield Road, Cayton, was seen by police driving her Ford Mondeo at 52mph in Main Street, Flixton, where the speed limit is 30mph.
Scarborough Magistrates’ Court heard that Ferrari committed the offence at May 28 at around 6.45pm, when traffic was light and the road surface was dry.
Ferrari, who pleaded guilty, said: “As far as I was aware I was keeping up with the flow of traffic. When I was stopped I had a lot of things on my mind.”
Magistrates endorsed Ferrari’s previously clean licence with six penalty points, fined her £115, told her to pay costs of £45 and a victim surcharge of £15.
