Filey motorist charged with drug and several driving offences
A driver in Filey has been charged with several offences.
In a post on Twitter, North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Group said they located a vehicle yesterday (Sunday April 19) after the force received reports of it being driven by a disqualified driver.
The driver failed a drugs test for cannabis and was arrested for that offence as well as disqualified driving, possession of cannabis and breach of court bail conditions.
The vehicle was seized and the driver refused a drug test in custody.
The driver has now been charged with failing to provide a specimen, disqualified driving, driving with no insurance, possessing cannabis and breach of bail.
Officers say the driver was remanded in bail for a court appearance today (Monday April 20).
