TWO Scarborough men have appeared in court over a £50,000 jewellery robbery in the town centre.
Rosh Jewellery, in Huntriss Row, was targeted by raiders in December.
Two men have now appeared before Scarborough Magistrates’ Court to face a charge of robbery.
Jonathan Pell, 20, of Nelson Street, and Timothy Langford, 21, of Kiln Field, Staxton, spoke only to confirm their names, ages and addresses, and that they understood the conditions of their bail.
Pell, dressed in an orange T-shirt with grey tracksuit bottoms, was represented in court by Nick Tubbs, while Shaun Greenan represented Langford, who was dressed all in black.
Prosecuting, Sandra White told magistrates the case should be dealt with at Crown Court.
The case was sent to York Crown Court, where the first hearing will take place on Friday June 3.
Pell and Langford were granted conditional bail, with condition they must report to Scarborough police station.
