A SCARBOROUGH man has denied stealing more than £17,000 from a fuel company.
Sean Perry, 29, pleaded not guilty of taking £17,638.33 from Watson Wood Fuels, in Foxholes.
The offence is alleged to have taken place between January 4 and June 30 last year.
Perry, of Constable Road, Hunmanby, yesterday appeared at York Crown Court for a brief hearing to enter his not guilty plea.
A trial date was set for October 15 at York Crown Court.
An initial three-day period was set aside for the trial.
Perry was handed bail ahead of the date, and warned not to approach the complainant in the case.
