N-Dubz fan burgled flats after show at theatre

A VISITOR who came to Scarborough to watch the N-Dubz concert then went on to burgle two flats in Ramshill Road.

Christopher Jackson, 21, from Bingley, pleaded guilty at Scarborough Magistrates to two charges of Burglary.

The court heard Jackson, who previously lived in Scarborough, was staying with relatives in Bridlington when he went to see the urban pop group perform at the Open Air Theatre on July 30.

After the concert Jackson, and a co accused, went to flats in Ramshill Road where he stole a gold sovereign necklace, worth £450, and a platinum ring.

Sandra White, prosecuting, told magistrates the items have not been recovered, and that the crime was not only committed while Jackson was subject to a conditional discharge, but also while on bail for two further offences.

She said Jackson was linked to the burglary after a train ticket from Bridlington and an N-Dubz ticket stub, both with his finger prints on, were found in one of the flats.

Magistrates sent Jackson to York Crown Court for sentencing, where he will appear on September 12. He was remanded in custody.
