Police appeal after collision between car and cyclist at Scarborough junction

Police are investigating an incident involving a cyclist and a car in Scarborough.

It happened on Monday, June 22 at 6.40pm when a woman was riding her bicycle on Ramshill Road and was approaching the junction to Albion Road.

Officers say she came off her bike when a white hatchback, possibly an Audi, pulled out of the junction, narrowly missing her.

The car failed to stop at the scene of an accident. The cyclist was left in shock at the scene.

Anyone with information that might help with the police's investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two, and ask for PC James Moody 1199.
