Police appeal after pedestrian injured in Ryedale car crash


A woman in her 70s was injured when she was hit by a car in Ryedale, say police

The incident took place on Railway Street at the junction with Riverside View, Norton, on Thursday, June 19, at 9.50am.

Police say the crash involved a grey Range Rover, driven by a man in his 80s, which collided with the pedestrian who was crossing Railway Street.

The casualty, who is from Malton, suffered minor injuries and was treated locally.

Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the incident.
