Scarborough police are appealing for information after a spate of criminal damage in the town.

It occurred overnight between Monday and Christmas Eve when a number of cars parked on Dale Edge, Eastfield, had their windscreen wipers broken.

PC John-Simon Coleman, of Scarborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “At least four vehicles were damaged in this mindless act of vandalism.

“If you know who is responsible for this damage, I urge you to contact the police straight away.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who had their vehicle damaged but has not yet reported it and ask them to get in touch.”
