Police hunt for wanted man in licence breach

SCARBOROUGH police are urging the public to help them catch a wanted man.

Andrew John Henry, 36, of Ling Hill, is wanted for recall to prison after breaching the terms of his release licence.

Henry, also known as Paul Inch, Paul Raine and Mark Rennings, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment at York Crown Court in January for wounding and grievous bodily harm following a domestic in July 2009.

He was released from prison on March 8, with certain conditions which he has not adhered to after failing to attend an appointment with his supervising officer.

Officers are now urging the public to help find him. Superintendent Javad Ali, of Scarborough Safer Neighbourhood Command, said: “Andrew Henry has shown a blatant disregard for the justice system after failing to stick to the terms of his prison release licence.

“I am appealing to residents and visitors to Scarborough to keep their eyes peeled for Henry and let us know where he is. While we do not believe he poses a danger to the public, we advise that he should not be approached directly.

“If you have information about his whereabouts, please contact the police. The sooner Henry is back behind bars the better.”

Anyone who can help is urged to contact Scarborough police on 0845 60 60 24 7, quoting reference number 12110177373, or Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
