Police investigating firearms incident in Filey

North Yorkshire Police are investigating a firearms incident in Filey.

At around 5pm on Tuesday April 28 officers responded to a report that a firearm was possibly being used on Chapel Street in Filey.

A 48 year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a loaded or unloaded air weapon in a public place.

He has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
