Police make arrests after 'violent disturbance' on Castlegate in Malton

Police have made three arrests after following reports of a 'violent disturbance' in Malton.

At around 7am on Tuesday June 22 police received reports of the incident in the Castlegate area of Malton.

There was a large police presence and officers temporarily closed parts of the area to ensure there was no wider risk to the public and to being the incident to a safe conclusion.

Three men – one is his 50s and two in their 20s – have been arrested suspicion of a public order offences.

They remain in custody while enquiries continue.

Roads around the scene of the incident were then reopened.
