POLICE say there have been no further reports of elderly women being robbed after a spate of incidents last month.

Between December 12 and December 23, four elderly women were robbed in Scarborough, and police suspect the same person may be responsible.

No similar incidents have been reported since then, but police have warned members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour as they continue their investigation.

Local businessman and Vivaz owner Paul Murray has offered a £500 reward for information which leads to a conviction.

Information can be passed to DS Steve Paxton of Scarborough CID on 0845 6060247.
