Scarborough police appeal after girl hit by car that failed to stop

Police in Scarborough are appealing for information after a 13-year-old girl was hit by a car in Snainton near Scarborough this afternoon.

It happened at around 3.30pm on the High Street when the girl got of the school bus.

As she crossed the road she was hit by a car that failed to stop at the scene.

Thankfully her injuries were not serious and she did not require hospital treatment at the time.

Police are appealing to the driver of the car to come forward and to anyone who was in the area of Snainton High Street at around 3.30pmto contact them.
