A jury today retired today to consider its verdict on a teenager accused of stabbing his former friend to death in a row over a girl.
The five men and seven women must decide whether the 17-year-old is guilty of murder or manslaughter.
The accused was only 16 when he was arrested on suspicion of murdering 19-year-old Michael ‘Angel’ Graham.
He denies murdering Mr Graham, who died after being knifed in the back 12 times during a brawl on Scarborough seafront one Saturday night last April.
The eight-day trial has been told Mr Graham and his attacker had been friends but fell out when Mr Graham taunted the younger boy over his relationship with an underage girl.
An order has been made banning identification of everyone involved in the case - apart from the dead man - for legal reasons.
