A robber who held up a convenience store at knifepoint is facing jail after pleading guilty to the offence.
Patrick Kevin Shannon, 35, raided the One Stop Shop in North Leas Avenue, Scarborough, at about 2pm on April 10.
It’s understood Shannon burst into the store with two other men who threatened staff with a knife. Cash was taken but later recovered.
Shannon, of Endcliff Crescent, was charged with robbery and possessing a bladed article. He was remanded in Hull Prison following his arrest and appeared at York Crown Court via video link on Tuesday, when he admitted both offences.
Judge Paul Batty QC adjourned sentence to May 19. Shannon is facing a jail sentence.
Following the raid, two other men were arrested and released pending further enquiries.
