Thief uses rock to smash windows of two cars in Scarborough town centre and steal items

A rock was used to smash windows of two cars parked in Scarborough.

Several items were also taken from one of the cars, including trainers, glasses and a purse.

Both vehicles - a Ford S-Max and a Landrover Freelander - were parked on The Crescent when the damage happened overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

Police would like to hear from anyone with information that might help with their investigation, particularly anyone with dash-cam footage of The Crescent that night.
