Two drivers arrested by police in Scarborough for drug driving

Two drivers were arrested in Scarborough yesterday (May 4), after both tested positive for drugs.

North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Group shared details of the two incidents on Facebook.

The first driver was stopped on Sandside where it was discovered he had travelled from Doncaster to Middlesbrough and was returning via Scarborough seafront.

He failed a drug test for cannabis and was arrested.

Another vehicle was stopped when officers suspected him to be using his phone whilst driving.

This driver failed a drug test for cocaine and was also arrested.
