Two drivers arrested on suspicion of drug driving in Scarborough

Two drivers were arrested on suspicion of drug driving in Scarborough.

One, who was driving a blue Ford Focus, was found to have taken cannabis after failing a roadside test by officers from North Yorkshire Police's roads policing group.

The other, driving a blue Mercedes, was stopped after a member of the public reported the smell of cannabis coming from the car.

Three people inside were found with the drug and the driver failed a drugs test for cannabis.

Police stop the Mercedes.

They were both stopped on Saturday.

Also in Scarborough on the same day, police stopped a black Ford Focus after reports of phone accessories being stolen from a town centre shop.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of theft.
