Tyre slasher targets car in Scarborough

Police are investigating after a woman woke up to find one of her car tyres had been slashed in a North Yorkshire seaside town.

It happened between 9:30pm on Wednesday March 22 and 8:30am the following morning when the victim awoke to find one of the tyres on her vehicle had been slashed.

The vehicle, a black Ford Focus, had been parked on the Columbus Ravine end of Nelson Street.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "We are in the process of conducting enquiries in an attempt to identify those responsible for the damage."
