Vehicles damage after car crashes in Rillington, near Malton

Police are investigating the collision involving a silver Vauxhall Meriva on Woodlands Road in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday).

A man was seen fleeing the scene of the crash in the direction of Main Street and the A64.

Police want to hear from anyone with information, particularly anyone who saw the vehicle before the collision, which happened at around 1.50am, or knows where the man went afterwards.

They are also asking members of the public in the area to review private CCTV and dashcam footage at the time of the incident and share any helpful information.
