Woman in a ‘stable’ state

A WOMAN injured in a serious collision near Whitby is now in a “stable” condition in hospital.

The 29-year-old, who lives locally, was injured last Friday in an incident involving a grey hatchback car and two women pedestrians with a child buggy at The Carrs, near Sleights.

The woman was taken to James Cook University, in Middlesbrough, where she continues to be treated for her injuries.

All of the other casualties have been discharged from hospital after treatment.
