At least two vehicles were involved in a collision at the Racecourse Road and Irton Moor Lane crossroad at around 7pm this evening.
Emergency services are on the scene and it is expected there may be injuries but the extent is not yet known.
Crossroads crash closes key route into town
One of the main roads into Scarborough is closed in both directions after a crash.
