Nathan Curtis can't wait to pull on a Scarborough Athletic shirt tonight, having joined the club just hours before kick off.
Curtis will be a part of the Boro squad that host Goole at the Flamingo Land Stadium, and the former Bradford City man is excited about sampling the atmosphere.
The 21-year-old was enjoying his football at Evo-Stik North rivals Ossett Albion, but when Boro came knocking the chance was just too attractive to turn down.
"It is an exciting time at Ossett Albion and I hope they go on and do well, but when a club like Scarborough comes in for you, you can't turn them down," he said.
"Scarborough are probably the biggest club in this league, the fans and the whole set-up is spot on.
"I can remember playing against them at Bridlington last season and they had a massive turn-out of fans, so back in Scarborough it must be amazing.
"If you don't enjoy playing in front of big crowds then you shouldn't be in the game, I just can't wait for it."
Curtis, who recently scored for Ossett Albion in Boro's 5-2 success at Dimple Wells, is hoping to contribute goals as Steve Kittrick's men hunt for promotion.
He added: "I can play in a number of positions, but as I get older I want to start playing down the middle a bit more because I think I've added a few more aspects to my game.
"I'm not silly, I can see the quality in the side, so I know that I'm not going to get everything I want straight away.
"My plan is to work hard, break into the team and then cement my place in it.
"The ambition has to be promotion and if I can score as many as I can to help them secure that then I'll be very happy."
