Nick Mallett, manager at Go Ape Dalby Forest, said: “As the sun goes down, the heart-racing treetop zip wire flights begin.

"With this sundown special, you'll start your after-hours experience with only a head torch to guide you.

"Then once you're safely attached to the course, your head torch will be turned off, before you zip across a valley in complete darkness.

"If that wasn't thrilling enough, you'll then enjoy a second zip with nothing but the stars to keep you company.

"It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that dials the thrill factor to the max!”

Go Ape Dalby Forest features some of the longest zipwires in the UK, running 740ft long, 120ft above ground.

The Sundown Sessions will launch on Valentine’s Day and run for three further dates in February, as part of the North York Moors Dark Skies Festival.

The fifth North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Festival runs from February 14 to March 1.

Since 2016's inaugural event, the festival has become an unmissable fixture in the calendar, with the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Park Authorities celebrating the jewels of the night sky. This year, activity is themed around exploration and will feature more than 100 events across the region.
