Day four and Snoz is still going strong - Watch his video diary

Protestor Mark ‘Snoz’ Snow spent his third night in the beech tree last night in order to stop contractors from felling it.

The protest in Irton’s Main Street began on Tuesday morning at 9:15am when Mr Snow, of Falsgrave, climbed the tree and refused to come down, thwarting the efforts of a North Yorkshire County Council team to cut it down.

Snoz told reporters earlier today: “I don’t feel like I need to come down today or tomorrow or over the weekend.

“There might be a bit of ground frost on Monday but that doesn’t bother me too much because I’ve got hot water bottles and clothes.”
