A DICKENSIAN evening is to be held at St Matthew’s Church, Hutton Buscel, at 7.30pm on Friday November 25.
The church will be candlelit and Brian Oxberry, as Charles Dickens, will present an evening of stories and readings by the great man himself.
There will be an interval during which “Victorian” ladies will serve refreshments of mulled wine and hot mince pies to the seated audience.
It is hoped that some members of the audience will enter into the Dickensian spirit of the evening by wearing apparel in Victorian style, but this is entirely optional.
Tickets are available by contacting either Maggie Ward on (01723) 863628, Helen Barnett on (01723) 864375, Pat Harrison on (01723) 865687, or Shirley Doyle on (01723) 862842.
Tickets cost £12 including refreshments.
There will be a raffle and the new Hutton Buscel village recipe book will be on sale.
All proceeds will go towards the Hutton Buscel Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Fund.
