The family of a Scarborough man who fell seven storeys from a hotel balcony have flown to Majorca to be with him as he remains in an induced coma.
Sean Kelly, 24, from Eastfield, is in a “serious but stable” condition at the island’s main Son Espases hospital.
The Plaxton worker fell in the early hours of Thursday morning after what was the first night of holiday which formed part of a friend’s stag party.
Local fire services had to be called to rescue him after he plummeted while trying to jump from a window onto a balcony on the seventh floor of the Magaluf Playa apartments.
Sean is believed to have suffered a fractured skull and pelvis. Early reports from close friends state a scan yesterday revealed no major damage and that doctors are planning to bring him back around in the next couple of days.
Dozens of messages of love and support for Sean and his family have been posted by friends on his Facebook page.
The Scarborough News is collecting well wishes for Sean who has been described by friends as “a fighter” as he battles to recover. To send a get well message email firstname.lastname@example.org, post on our Facebook page The Scarborough News, or tweet us @thescarboronews.
