Prom dresses and ballgowns will be selling at a fraction of designer label prices when Saint Catherine’s Hospice rolls out the red carpet to boost hospice funds.
The hospice is holding its first ever “Red Carpet Affair”, selling some of the most glamorous dresses which have been donated to the hospice throughout the year.
Fancy frocks, high heels and glitzy bags will all be on sale at the special event, designed to take the financial sting out of a posh night out.
And the men haven’t been forgotten either because smart suits and dinner jackets will also be up for grabs.
Debbie Jewison, area retail manager, said: “We thought our event was a good way to show the items off and help people go to that big night out feeling a million dollars after spending just a few pounds.”
The event is on Saturday April 25, from 10am to 1pm, in the education department at Saint Catherine’s Hospice in Throxenby Lane. Long and short dresses, sizes 8 to 26, will be on sale.
Shona’s Hair and Beauty is providing the prizes of prom packages for a free draw and will be doing hair and make-up demonstrations on the day. Executive Cars will also be at the event.
