Driver airlifted to hospital after two-vehicle crash on A64 near Malton

A man was airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A64 near Malton yesterday.

The accident happened at 3.25pm near Huttons Ambo and involved a Volkswagen Transporter and a Renault Megane.

The man - who was driving the Megane - was taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

The road was shut for several hours while emergency services dealt with the crash.

The A64.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 12200142163.
