Driver 'seriously injured' in A64 collision - North Yorkshire Police appeal for information

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a serious collision on the A64, near Malton.

It happened at around 9.34am, on Wednesday 20 November 2019, when a green-coloured Iveco wagon overturned on the eastbound carriageway.

The driver of the wagon was seriously injured and taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Police enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist the investigation.

In particular, anyone who witnessed the collision, was travelling in the area at the time, or had dash-cam in operation prior to the collision is urged to contact them.

The stretch of road is likely to remain closed until approximately 4pm this afternoon (Wednesday November 20) and motorists are advised to use alternative routes until further notice.
