Driver spotted using phone at wheel in Scarborough fails drugs test

Police made two drug driving arrests in the Scarborough area yesterday.

Police stopped this blue van and found the driver tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.

Officers stopped the driver of a blue van in Eastfield after spotting him using his phone at the wheel and not wearing his seatbelt.

He then failed a drugs test, testing positive for cocaine and cannabis.

On the same day, officers stopped a black Audi on the A64 at Potter Brompton.

A roadside drugs test came up positive for cannabis and the driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
