A national Dyslexia charity is coming to Scarborough to host an event for parents and carers.
Educational charity Dyslexia Action invites Scarborough parents and carers to attend a free dyslexia awareness event on Wednesday, October 10, between 6pm and 8.30pm, at Scarborough Library in Vernon Road.
The event will provide parents with information about dyslexia and other literacy difficulties, advice on supporting children with dyslexia at home and an opportunity to discuss concerns and share advice with other parents.
The awareness event is one of a number of events taking place around the country as part of the Empowering Parents and Carers project, supported by The Dyslexia-SpLD Trust and run by Dyslexia Action, The British Dyslexia Association, Springboard for Children and the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre. The aim of the project is to provide valuable information, resources and support services for parents and carers of children with dyslexia.
