YOUNGSTERS at Seamer and Irton School put their own unique twist on a classic story.
Year three pupils wrote their own play scrips, and teacher Lisa Ponter decided they were so good that they deserved to be brought to life.
They based the alternative Three Little Piggies play on a scrip written by pupil Anya Read.
They then worked together to refine the story, before inviting parents to see them act out the finished production.
Lisa said: “The children worked really hard. As well as encouraging their creativity they got to perform which is good for their confidence.
“Those who didn’t act worked behind the scenes - Sami Lachqar was fantastic on the piano with his sound effects.
“The kids loved it. They were buzzing before and they did an excellent job. They did the school proud and sent their parents home smiling.”
