YOUNGSTERS from a Scarborough school enjoyed a fairytale experience after enjoying a day fit for Kings and Queens!
The Year One pupils from Barrowcliff School donned crowns and tiaras for a special banquet to celebrate their favourite fictional characters.
The youngsters became Princes and Princesses for the day during a grand party to mark all of their work throughout the term.
Teacher Emma Pygas said the day was a great success and added the children had loved taking part.
She added: “We had been doing about characters such as Cinderella and Rapunzel and at the end of term had a little fairytale banquet for the children to celebrate what they had been doing.
“We also had some dancing and had even set the banquet table like a palace.
“They really enjoyed the day and loved dressing up as their favourite characters.
“We are now carrying on the theme but will be looking at non-fiction throughout this term.”
