PUPILS at St Augustine’s School in Scarborough have been making a film of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel Treasure Island.
Filming has taken place at various locations including Peasholm Park, aboard the Hispaniola in the south bay and at the harbour.
The film, with Daniel Alexander as cabin-boy Jim, was shown at the school on Tuesday evening.
While one group of pupils was making the film, another group was filming and editing a documentary on the making of the film.
“This is the first time St Augustine’s has done something of this kind and we are very pleased with the results,” said a spokesperson.
“The students have been very professional and it has been a great opportunity for them to try a different style of acting”.
